Babycakes - Baby, Baby Baby

It's a Boy!  My coworker just became a Grandma this week and I thought it was the prefect time to use the new Babycakes paper pack so I made another baby card.
I love all the fun patterns with this paper and can't wait to explore more of my creative talent to use this paper pack.
I used a newer stamp set, Wild Wonders, with a much older stamp set, Sweet Baby.  I stamped the head of each animal on a separate piece of cardstock, then cut the shape using the microtip scissors.  Using foam tape under the head to give a little something.  But the new Bronze shimmer tape really adds sparkle to this card! And, of course I can't forget about the heart I used out of the Babycakes Complements pack.

Laughing Lola & Stickles = A Winning Combination!

Tonight I found some play time (i.e. papercrafting time) but it was some good therapy to make something and put my mind at ease from all my worries and stress.
So, what did I make? A birthday card!  Several of my closest friends are having their birthday this weekend and it is time to get to work.

I stamped the butterflies on white cardstock in a random pattern. The stamp set I used, Butterfly Wings.  Next, I added a little strip of Laughing Lola on the bottom and a birthday sentiment on top.......then, STICKLES!!!!

Washi Stamps

I love one of the new Hostess Rewards Stamp Set - Washi Wonder!  Pick your own colors to stamp any one of these fun little designs.  Great for cards or a little extra to your pages.  I'm thinking even trying them in a crush book!

Baby Baptism Card

A dear friend invited us to her son's baptism this week.  Truthfully, it wasn't easy coming up with a card layout other than I knew I wanted to use a cross.  With a little luck and lots of ideas on Pintrest, I came up with a game plan.

So I stamped and embossed a cross from an older stamp set with gold.  Then used the "congratulations" from a wedding stamp set.  This was the result.

Hubby's birthday card

I'm so excited CTMH has came out with more masculine stamp sets and paperpacks that fit my hubby's style (he's a car guy).  So for this birthday this year I was ready to use the Maximum Power stamp set featuring a 70's Chevy Chevelle and a 70's Ford Mustang.  I found the cute little saying on Pintrest and used the new Framework Alphabet stamp set with an older stamp set, Tiny Typewriter Alphabet.

I used CTMH cardstock (Ruby, Black, and White Daisy).  The car was stamped in Ruby on white CS, and framed with black CS.  Then, I used the sponge daubers to get the 'smoke effect' with black ink around the car.  Using a light blue CS, I stamped "every day can be a" in black ink.  I used the tire track stamp on the Ruby CS before I adhered the car image.

I really hope he likes this one.  I know I do!

Fun with food - Octopus Hotdog

Who said you can't play with your food?

Always exciting!

It's always exciting when one of these is waiting for you when you get home :)  Almost like opening a Christmas gift.

Cricut Craft Room

Last night I played around in the Cricut Craft Room for the first time!  Loved the experience.  I'm working on a birthday banner for my son's upcoming birthday party.  We chose a Thomas The Train theme......more to come!

Using white-out makes me want to craft

Welcome Baby Card - boy

I love this cute little card I made this weekend for my friend whoop it's expecting a boy this June.

To create this adorable little card, i used the CTMH's My
Acrylix Stamp set "It's a Zoo - C1360" that is now a retired stamp set.  I inked the monkey in Gypsy ink, the giraffe in Goldrush, and the elephant in Indian Corn Blue (all Exclusive Inks by CTMH).  The sentiment was stamped in Pacifica ink and I used Pacifica cardstock for the border on the left and to frame each animal.

Patriotic Star Workshop

This June I am planning to host a workshop using My Creations® Star! This is a simple yet fun workshop using just 3 colors of cardstock (Pacifica, Ruby, and Colonial White) and CTMH's Exclusive Inks in Black for distressing.

If you want to create your own Patriotic Star you can sign-up and attend my workshop and make one for just $14, don't worry if you can't attend the workshop or live long distance. I will make a kit up for you and send it to you along with directions.

Scrapping with mommy

An order came in today and of course after you unbox every thing, you have to play, right?  Well tonight my little guy wanted to stamp with me.
